These veg chrome retanned leather sides provide strength and flexibility to any leathercraft project they're used for. The black 4-5 oz. leather side is ideal for bags since it is struck through and will look beautiful inside and out. It is possible that your hide will have a brand on it, but we think of this as an opportunity for a unique project.

Difference

These leather sides are first vegetable tanned with materials derived from tree bark and various other plants and then retanned in chromium salts. Vegetable tanning gives the leather strength, and chrome tanning gives it flexibility.
