Using heavy suede lining and

"Using heavy suede lining and 9-10 ounce veg tanned Hermann Oak leather to make holsters for the first time, warm water blocking would not firm up much at all, so I used the Leather Firmer for the first time also. Online instructions were: "using a wool dauber in a circular motion, apply a thin layer to the suede and repeat on the exterior then repeat as needed until desired firmness achieved" Hmmm, tedious. I poured the quart into a bucket and dipped each holster until no more soak up was noted, re-blocked and allowed to completely dry before any topcoat was applied. It appears that it worked very well. Image was taken before topcoat."

Only stuff that I’ve found

This product works great for

"This product works great for stiffening/ hardening up a finished leather product. I've only used it on 7-8 oz veg tan to firm up some knife sheaths and a holster that were a little too close to belly leather. Hardened them up just right."

Good Stuff

"Stiffened up my belts! Just be warned: This only works on VEG TANNED leather; WILL NOT work on CHROME TANNED leather. Also, I recommend getting the quart instead of the pint as it's a much better value."

After watching Chuck use the

"After watching Chuck use the firmer on leather barb wire, I thought that was pretty kool, if it worked!!?? Well, I have to say, it worked great!! I left my lace in, little longer like Chuck said. . he thought it would become stiffer if dried. It did. . made few projects with leather barb wire. . for kicks, I made a deck of cards out of leather, [ just to see if it was possible], the firmer along with little oven time, the cards are stiff as a board and actually all level. . worked great. Would recommend. . little expensive. . but, for something different, it was worth using."

Wonderful stiffener for Veg-tan

"Easy to use, just spray like water and when it dries, the leather is stiff, not floppy. It is great for gun cases and hat brims. Darkens the flesh side of veg-tan leather to a light-medium brown and smooths out the texture."
