Apply desired amount with a soft cloth or sheepskin, working into leather with small, circular motions until you achieve an even overall color. Remove excess immediately with a clean, soft cloth and continue rubbing the surface to a mellow gloss. Allow to dry and apply a top finish to seal and protect.

"wonderful color when staining veg-tanned leather, gives it a rustic look and soaks into crevices"
"I purchased the light brown gel after having purchased the medium brown gel. The difference is astounding. The light brown gel is incredible because it gives the leather a nice color, looks antique, and has a nice sheen while not hiding detail because it's too dark. I definitely recommend this!"
"Awesome for using as an odorless and fast drying stain in classes. And there is a good color selection."
"Works well on Vegetable Tan Leather with a Resolene or Satin Shene Finish. I will continue to buy it in the future."
"Once again, I’m pretty new to leather crafting this is the third Fiebings gel I’ve tried. These gels seem to be a one step finish. The longer you leave it on the darker it stains the project. The Mahogany is beautiful, rich if you like. After you wipe it off just buff it to a sheen. I like the gels but you can go too dark easily."
"I used Fiebing's Vintage Gel in Medium Brown and it's the perfect color. This is my first DIY holster and I think it's beautiful. I used two coats of Resolene for the shiny top coat."
"Definitely just a dark brown but still a very nice color"
"Here is a bronc noseband with tan vintage gel and dark brown antique, topped with a coat of Resolene"
"I like the Vintage Gel . It’s easy to use dyes.Good even color gives your work a nice antique effect."
"We use this to color and antique a lot of projects. The coverage is great and the colors are vibrant. It is easy to mix or layer different colors."
