Edgework Intensive Class, October

Give your leather projects a polished, professional finish in this hands-on Edgework Intensive Class at the Weaver Leather Supply Retail Store. With a focus on one of the details that can make the biggest difference in a finished project, this class will take a closer look at the tools, products and techniques used to create smooth, clean leather edges.

Your knowledgeable instructor will guide you through the edgework process from start to finish, including edging and sanding leather, choosing between burnishers and canvas, and working with paints, dyes, Edge Kote and burnishing agents. You’ll explore how different tools and finishing products affect your results while learning techniques for achieving a clean, shiny edge that gives your work a professional finish.

During class, you'll create a small leather wallet that serves as a hands-on practice project, giving you the opportunity to put the techniques you learn to work. The primary focus is on building edge-finishing skills you can confidently apply to wallets, belts, sheaths. holsters and a wide variety of future leather projects.
