Missing pieces
"I love Weaver, but I was a little underwhelmed by this kit. I bought it because I recently got into leathercraft, so I wanted to complete some projects to get some practice. The idea of gussets and zippers sounded like a challenge. While the leather and hardware quality are fine, the instructions are a little lacking. Additionally, my kit was missing a 9" zipper (the instructions say there are supposed to be 2x9" and 1x4" zippers). Weaver was awesome to send me another kit quickly with no expense to me (they didn't have 9" zippers to send otherwise). That kit, however, had the same problem—one 9" zipper—so I think it might be the case with the kit. Nonetheless, with both my zippers in hand, I found the instructions frustrating as they have the maker glue some parts that are sewn together while not having the main body glued together. I followed the instructions just because it was my first time doing any project build, but if I were to do the project again, I would definitely glue the main bodies together prior to sewing, despite what the instructions say. Additionally, the clutch has a bit of a funky shape. Of course, this is subjective, but it doesn't seem like an attractive-shaped piece. While the customer service I received for my zipper problem was top-notch, and that secured my loyalty and affinity for Weaver, I was disappointed in this project, and I would steer anyone who is just getting into the craft and looking to get some practice towards other kits."

"Exactly what I expected! User error on the outer zippers though lol Now I know how far in to measure if I make another one. I had placed the zippers too far into the edge. Still works great with some tugging tho."
