The Best Veg Tanned Leather out there!!

"Ive been using Hermann Oak for years. There is no better veg tanned. It tools very well, leaving nice burnished tooling if the leather is properly moistened. There is no limit to the level of detail that can be obtained. I will continue purchasing as long as its available. One has to remind themselves, Hides are a natural material. Grading helps with us getting the best hides available, but they wont be perfect. . heck nothing is. Great job with all of the orders and outstanding customer Service Weaver Leather!!"

Amazing quality and super fast delivery

"This Hermann oak leather never disappoints. Amazing quality every time"

Brennan (5/5)

Great Leather

"This was great leather for several of the holsters that I make. It's a little heavy for this holster but it works and wet forms very nicely."

Aaron (4/5)

This is the first time

"This is the first time I spent the money on Herman Oak and I’ll never be cheap again. Large chunk with very few flaws so center cut will yield many nice belts and straps. Beautiful texture and color. Mostly clean flesh side."

Chad V. (5/5)

Leather quality was pretty good,

"Leather quality was pretty good, some variation in thickness throughout the piece. I know there’s some variation in sq footage between sides but for the money i was expecting a larger side. It was only about 70 ish inches of usable length in the hide. The hide was in good enough shape to use with a nice firm temper for my belts but compared to the bridle leather side i bought a while back the size was pretty disappointing for the cost."

I purchased the Hermon Oak

"I purchased the Hermon Oak to tool a belt. I have to say it tooled beautifully! What I was disappointed in was the quality of the leather. I was under the impression when you purchase Hermon Oak for such a high price that there would be very few if no blemishes on it. The one I received had several cuts wrinkles and marks that made my project almost impossible to complete without a blemish. I would have sent it back but the project needed to be completed. I almost think that buying an economy veg tan leather would have been better."

Fred G. (2/5)

pretty good

"the leather is pretty nice but the one i received had a discolored spot which will be unusable for what i make"

I was hoping for a

"I was hoping for a MUCH more from a Hermann Oak side of leather. This side was much stiffer than other sides I have purchased. Seems to be very dry. Even when i case the leather for stamping it takes quite a bit for the water to absorb into the leather. The closer to the edge it was even worse on this piece but with a much deeper area than usual. Had i needed this leather for Christmas orders I would have sent it back."

Bryan F. (3/5)

Terrible Quality Leather

"This piece of leather is practically unusable. The number of scuffs, holes, and blemishes is shocking. (Even a human hand-print). I have purchased several sides of Hermann Oak leather from several online dealers, and have yet to get a piece better than what I could pick up at Tandy Leather."

Blair J. (1/5)

THE WORST

"i have been using this vendor for very long time , when i start buying this leather it was ok, but every time i buy it got worse and last batch was unusable it was junk, we are paying over $300 a roll PLEASE DO BETTER!! i wouldn't give it a star"
