In this series, Chuck teaches us how to create a beautiful leather cloak with a shearling mantle. He goes over how to calculate our measurements for our cloak, and then how to create patterns for our panels, our mantle, and our billets. What's great about a panel cloak is that it's made by sewing multiple small pieces of leather together, rather than having to find a piece large enough and the correct shape for a cloak. For our cloak, we can arrange our panels to get the most use out of our hide when cutting our leather. Once we've cut our leather and shearling, we're ready to move on to part 2 of this series and assemble our cloak.
